Senior SEO Strategist. Joined Impression in July 2019.
I was an aspiring journalist as a school-leaver, completing an internship at Beijing-based magazine, The World of Chinese. From here, I went on to study English at Durham University and then a Marketing MSc at The University of Nottingham. I kept up my journalistic ambitions throughout this time, writing for several different student newspapers and online publications.
It was during my master’s degree that I became switched on to digital marketing and SEO in particular. Alongside my studies, I took a voluntary role supporting a local wedding and events company, then joined Impression part-time whilst writing my MSc dissertation in July 2019. I was employed by the agency on a full-time basis two months later, and went on to progress from my entry-level role up to my current position.
Something that I’m really proud of:
I will always be proud of having secured a role at Impression and getting promoted to where I am today. Outside of work, though, I’d say that winning a Faculty Academic Excellence Award on my MSc Marketing course is one of my proudest accomplishments.
Outside of work:
I’ll often be found out with friends, playing games, or chilling at home with my partner and our cats.
