Kick-starting your career in digital

The transition into full-time work following school or university can be daunting. You might not even be sure which path you want to take. Luckily, there are many ways to immerse yourself in the digital marketing industry and plenty of free tools and resources to help you to build your knowledge in the early stages of your journey.

Check out our range of beginner’s guides, for example. To ease yourself into your role at Impression, we have various benefits in place to support your mental health and well-being, such as a virtual therapy platform, private medical insurance, regular company socials, impact initiatives, and much more.

As an early career starter, you’ll feed into the production of your own personal development plan, have dedicated time assigned to L&D and have access to specialist training courses that will help you grow technical and behavioural skills.

Your development is not a once-a-year conversation. We encourage continuous feedback and coaching, frequent performance and career conversations and give you opportunities to be self-reflective about your performance and career goals. We have mechanisms in place to support this, such as tri-annual reviews, objective settings with key results (OKRs), 1-2-1s and transparent frameworks.

Impression Launchpad

We recognise the importance of exploring where you most thrive when you’re kickstarting your career.

Aligned with our mission to be the best place for digital talent to transform their careers, we’ve built an industry-leading learning experience that equips emerging talent with the adaptability and creativity needed to succeed in any career, but particularly in the world of digital marketing.

Our LaunchPad programme is a carefully designed 18 month fixed term contract in which successful applicants will be placed on a pathway designed to give you everything you need to succeed in your final placement.

Over the course of the programme, individuals enrolled into our LaunchPad programme can look forward to working their way through a number of placements across different departments to build a diverse set of technical and behavioural skills. 

Much like all of our Analyst roles, you will benefit from weekly catch up’s with a line manager during each placement, an early careers mentor and a developed personal development plan. Everyone enrolled in this programme will benefit from our 70:20:10 model, with 70% of your learning coming through experience; learning as you go and adapting to the needs of your placement at the time, your team and your clients. 20% will come through exposure through working with your team and the wider Digital Marketing landscape. The final 10% will come from training and more formally recognised learning within our Learning Management System”

Individuals will then settle into their final placement with unique insight into how different channels work together to drive performance and quickly on their way to becoming the future leaders of digital!

Who is LaunchPad for

As part of our LaunchPad programme, we’re looking for individuals who have a real passion for digital marketing. You’ll be learning through real life experience, exposure to our expert team and through formalised training.

This means that you don’t have to have graduated from a university to apply. We welcome people from all walks of life and are committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone, no matter your background.

Whilst you’re likely to be at the start of your digital career or looking to change career paths, we looks for individuals who are;
